Spring Insight

Just learned about Spring Insight, a technology that allows us to see the runtime performance of our applications.

Demo by SpringSource YouTube Channel:

At 3:17 he shows how to enable insight by using the insight tab, however my 3.0.0 version of STS didn’t have any such option. After looking around I finally found the answer on the Spring issue tracker (STS-3165).

Solution: Create an insight enabled instance of tc Server (default does not have it enabled). Select insight template.

I tried but got some weird ClassNotFound error, apparently this was a a bug in 3.3.0, but got fixed in 3.3.4.M1 (release notes).
